The Family Justice Brigade provides opportunities to serve the community, to learn about social justice, and to work towards a more peaceful and just city. Our past events have been delivering Thanksgiving Baskets to families, making sandwiches for the Open Door Cafe, and assembling blessing bags for the homeless.
If your family is looking to give the gift of time this Advent, we have two Family Justice Brigade events in December that are sure to be a fun and rewarding way to give back to the community.
Holiday Plant Delivery December 8, 9:30 am – 11:00 am
Meet at the Old Saint Mary parish center to pick up some holiday plants and deliver them to the St. Anne’s Rest Home residents on Milwaukee’s southside. Wear your holiday hats, bells, or silly holiday sweater to bring some Christmas cheer!
Advent Giving Tree Sort December 16, 12:00 pm- 1:00 pm
Families are needed to organize and sort the Advent Giving Tree donations at the Old Saint Mary parish center. If your little ones like to open presents and sort things, this is a great way to help out! Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided.
Please register your family at tinyurl.com/familyjusticebrigade to attend or to get more information on upcoming events.
