You are invited to an evening of contemplative music and prayer in the style of Taizé prayer on Wednesday, May 24 at 7:00 pm in the Church. Experience the presence of God in the midst of music, prayer, silence, and candlelight. Step away from the frenzy of daily life and step into the quiet presence of God. Bring your friends and family to this beautiful contemplative service. All are welcome!
Taizé is a fairly simple and straight forward meditative form of prayer. Through the use of repetitive phrases, music, silence, scripture, and intercessory prayers, participants are invited to stillness and to listen for and to the voice of God. One of the rules of Taizé, as stated by Br. Roger, is to keep inner silence always, and you will dwell in Christ for it is through inner silence that makes possible our conversation with God. (Br. Roger of Taizé)
