Liturgical Ministries

Saints Peter and Paul offers many opportunities to serve the church in its liturgical ministries. Excellent training is provided for every area of ministry.

Lector

A lector proclaims God’s Word at one of our weekend Masses or holy day Masses.

Eucharistic Ministers

Assist the priest in offering the body and blood of Christ during communion.

Acolyte

Serve at the altar assisting the priest and/or deacon.

Usher/Minister of Hospitality

Welcome all to our worship assembly and care for the needs of anyone in the assembly: take up collection, hand out Orders of Worship and bulletins and other tasks.

Music Ministry

Cantor

Lead the assembly in congregation singing; proclaim the Psalm and Gospel acclamation; assist in teaching new music to the assembly.

Adult Choir

Support and encourage the assembly in sung prayer as well as adding other musical offerings to that prayer. Choir meets Thursdays September through June.

Children’s Choir

Open to children in grades 1-4. Sing at least once a month with rehearsals taking place during the school year.

Instrumentalists

Enhance the assembly’s sung prayer through playing a variety of instruments along with the organ/piano, as well as offer music selections on their own.

Organist/Pianist

Play the organ or piano to accompany the choir or cantor and lead the assembly’s sung prayer.
