Students from UPLIFT Teen are going on a mission trip to Kentucky in June, to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus in various ministries. We will be hosting a Car Wash Fundraiser on Saturday, May 4 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Holy Rosary parking lot (2011 N Oakland Ave) for an opportunity to meet our parish missionaries and support them. Healing the Whole Person: Engaging Your Story, is an 8-week series that provides the framework for understanding and receiving Christ’s healing and peace in the heart of the Catholic Church. Tim, our pastor, is happy to announce on behalf of the archbishop the following priestly assignments to the Family of Five Parishes serving the parishes of the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Old St. Mary, Our Lady of Divine Providence, Sts. Peter and Paul, Three Holy Women, effective June 21, 2024.Joining Fr. Tim, who remains pastor, will be Fr. Joseph Heit, already serving as associate pastor, Fr. Carlos Londoño, who will remain as associate pastor, and our newest associate, Fr. Brian Mason, who will return to us after completing his master’s degree in addiction counseling. Fr. He is Risen! Alleluia! Alleluia!What a great day! We have spent the last forty days preparing to celebrate. We have fasted, and now it is time to feast, for our Lord and Savior has conquered death—he has destroyed death. Alleluia! Alleluia!Today begins the great day of the Easter season which lasts for the next fifty days. For the entirety of the season, we will see the Easter candle at the ambo as a reminder of what we are celebrating—the resurrection of the Lord.It has been a beautiful week preparing for the celebration of the resurrection of the Lord. Thank you to all our staff and volunteers who have made Holy Week especially holy. A special thanks to our choirs, musicians, liturgists, decorators, liturgical ministers, and everyone else that made this week great! A very special thanks to everyone who came to pray with us throughout the week.Now for the important piece of information.
