Saints Peter and Paul offers many opportunities to serve the church in its liturgical ministries. Excellent training is provided for every area of ministry. Scheduling is done through our online program, Ministry Scheduler Pro.
Lector
A lector proclaims God’s Word at one of our weekend Masses or holy day Masses.
Eucharistic Ministers
Assist the priest in offering the body and blood of Christ during communion.
Acolyte
Serve at the altar assisting the priest and/or deacon.
Usher/Minister of Hospitality
Welcome all to our worship assembly and care for the needs of anyone in the assembly: take up collection, hand out Orders of Worship and bulletins and other tasks.
Music Ministry
Cantor
Lead the assembly in congregation singing; proclaim the Psalm and Gospel acclamation; assist in teaching new music to the assembly.
Adult Choir
Support and encourage the assembly in sung prayer as well as adding other musical offerings to that prayer. Choir meets Thursdays September through June.
Children’s Choir
Open to children in grades 1-4. Sing at least once a month with rehearsals taking place during the school year.
Instrumentalists
Enhance the assembly’s sung prayer through playing a variety of instruments along with the organ/piano, as well as offer music selections on their own.
Organist/Pianist
Play the organ or piano to accompany the choir or cantor and lead the assembly’s sung prayer.
