Cramer Building Update September 2021

September 20, 2021

Dear Friends,

We’re writing to share an update about our efforts to sell the Cramer Building on the Saints Peter & Paul campus.

We are currently working with developer Aaron Matter of Matter Development, who has proposed restoring the historic Cramer Building for residential or commercial use, or some mix of the two. As we described in our letter last spring, the convent building is not for sale, and will remain a parish property. The process is moving along well. However, sale of the building is not yet final.

Nik Kovac, alderman of District 3 in Milwaukee (which includes the Saints Peter & Paul campus), is hosting a public webinar at 6 pm, Wednesday, September 22, to allow neighbors to learn more about the Cramer Building plans. Aaron Matter will speak during the meeting, describing possible uses for the space. He also will take audience questions. To attend the webinar, contact Alderman Kovac’s office at 414-286-2221 to register and receive a link to the event.

We will continue to keep our parish community posted. Please pray for the Cramer Building Committee as we carry on with this work, that we can reach an arrangement that is in the best interests of the parish.

Sincerely,

The Cramer Building Committee

Barbara Boles, Larry Burns, Pam Dowling, Alicia Manning, Jim Piatt, Jim Piotrowski, Mike Szczawinski, and Jon Wallenkamp
